A problem with this is that a company making a natural product does not have to say what chemicals were used to produce the natural raw ingredients. This is why I have found to really have trust in a company you have to know the philosophy of the owners and the people who manage the company.

Fatty Acids
Fatty acids are a good emollient and they form a thin film on the skin that does not feel unpleasant. They are not greasy. It is a good protective barrier and can be used as a slow absorbing agent. Stearic acid is a common fatty acid. These fatty acids may be mixed with hydrocarbons and synthetic oils and fats, so you should look for these in the ingredients.

A barrier agent is a cream that is used to put a film on the skin to protect it against detergents and chemicals. A good barrier should not irritate the skin and should go on easy and come off easy. A sunscreen is this type of product that protects the skin from UV rays. Cetyl and stearyl alcohols are the best fatty alcohols.

Synthetic and hydrocarbon fatty acid esters (also called polyhydric alcohol esters) also called propylene glycol monostearate, ethylene glycol monostearate, and polyethylene glycol monostearate. These are synthetic chemical that are used in many supposed natural products. Some fatty acids can be irritating to the skin. Oleic acid tends to become rancid.
