Fast Food Nation: The Dark Side of the All-American Meal by Eric Schlosser - This is a great book that describes the negative side of the fast-food industry. It discusses how the meat industry often covers over the sale of extremely diseased meal often with the help of political parties. The author did interviews with many people in the fast food and animal slaughter industry. The author often paints these industries so negatively it shocked me that these people ever cooperated with them. It amazes me how they can't see that they are doing something extremely wrong. The author points out that he has been criticized by the fast food industry and the Republican party for how they are presented in this book. He challenged them if they can find any dicrepancies that he would gladly remove them, but they never got back to him except for a few minor issues. Discusses what natural flavoring and coloring are and how they are different than chemical flavoring and coloring. Tells why natural coloring and flavoring is often bad for vegetarians.
