In some case a person's colon was 9 inches in diameter but the colon passageway was no larger than the size of a pencil. The colon can be filled with numerous layers of mucus and fecal matter. This accumulation can have the consistency of hard rubber like an automobile tire. Some people have been found to have over 30 pounds of this encrusted matter inside their intestine after an autopsy is performed on them.
